You can order directly from our online shop or through our retail partners listed on our Retail Partners page. Each boutique carries a slightly different blend of Arcane Arts creations, so explore and support your local magic.
What kind of wax do you use, and where does it come from?
Our pillar candles are poured with a premium paraffin wax blend sourced from Canada ~ it’s one of the cleanest-burning, most consistent waxes available for pillars, giving them their long, even burn and rich scent throw.
Our container candles are made with a coconut–apricot wax blend sourced from the U.S., chosen for its creamy texture and luxurious, low-soot burn. Both blends are formulated for a smooth finish, long life, and beautiful scent diffusion.
What kind of fragrance do you use?
We use high-quality fragrance and essential oils from trusted U.S. suppliers known for purity, safety, and consistency. Each scent is carefully blended for both aroma and metaphysical resonance, ensuring every candle carries both beauty and intention.
Are your candles clean-burning and cruelty-free?
Yes. All our candles are made with lead-free wicks (cotton for pillars and bamboo for containers) and premium, phthalate-free fragrance and essential oils. Our waxes are cruelty-free, and every ingredient is chosen to minimize soot and maximize clean, safe burning.
How strong is the scent throw?
Our scent throw is medium to strong, depending on the candle’s size, wax type, and the airflow in your space. We balance each blend to fill the room gently ~ enough to create atmosphere without overpowering your senses.
Where do your stones and botanicals come from?
Our stones are ethically sourced from trusted suppliers who share our values for sustainable, fair-trade mining and spiritual integrity. Herbs and botanicals are gathered from small, ethical apothecaries and local herbal shops here in the Pacific Northwest ~ each one cleansed, charged, and selected for its energetic properties.
Can you make custom or devotional candles?
We love co-creating with our retail partners and have crafted exclusive blends and devotional pieces for their shelves and sacred spaces.
Because we’re a small, hands-on operation, we aren’t able to take individual one-off custom requests at this time. Our focus is on intentional, small-batch work where every candle receives care from start to finish.
That said, we plan to launch a Create Your Own Candle experience in the future ~ a chance to choose your own vessel, stones, and scents to build a candle that’s uniquely yours. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when this launches on our site.

How should I burn my candle the first time?
Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges during your first burn ~ usually about 2–3 hours. This helps set an even “memory burn,” prevents tunneling, and ensures the candle burns beautifully each time after.
What causes tunneling, and how can I fix it?
Tunneling happens when the first burn is too short, leaving a ring of unmelted wax around the edges. To fix it, gently wrap the top edge in foil and let the candle burn long enough to melt evenly across the surface.
How do I care for my candle to make it last longer?
Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before each use (yes, trim it every time you light it!) to prevent soot and mushrooming. Keep the wax pool free of debris ~ move stones or herbs gently to the side if needed ~ and allow the candle to cool fully before relighting. Avoid drafts for a steadier flame and slower, more even burn.
How long do your candles burn?

Can I burn my candle all the way to the bottom?
For safety, stop burning when about ½ inch of wax remains. This prevents the container from overheating or surfaces from getting too hot.
Why won’t my candle stay lit or why is the flame uneven?
Check that your wick is trimmed, centered, and free from wax build-up. Drafts, uneven surfaces, or leftover debris can also affect the flame. Adjust and relight once cooled for best results.
Is it safe to burn around pets and kids?
Yes ~ with care. Always keep candles within sight and out of reach of small hands, paws, and curious whiskers. Extinguish completely when leaving the room.
How should I store my candle?
Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to protect the color, scent, and wax integrity. Cover or wrap them when not in use to keep dust away.
What do I do with the stones after the candle is finished?
Once the wax has cooled, gently remove, rinse, and dry the stones. You can keep them on your altar, carry them as talismans, or use them in future rituals. Cleanse with smoke, moonlight, or sound as you feel called.
Can I reuse or repurpose the container?
Absolutely. To clean, freeze or warm the jar to loosen any leftover wax, then wipe it out and wash with mild soap. Reuse it as a vessel for offerings, herbs, tea lights, or whatever magic calls to you.
How do you come up with your formulas?
Many of our blends are channeled through meditation, spirit guidance, and ancestral connection ~ others come from years of study, experimentation, and sacred craft. Each candle is designed with purpose, balance, and energetic alignment in mind.
Do I need a specific practice or path to use your candles?
Not at all. Our candles are for anyone drawn to intention, reflection, or ritual. Whether you’re new to spiritual practice or deeply rooted in one, you can use them in the way that feels most authentic to you.
Are your candles pre-charged or should I charge them myself?
Each candle is cleansed and infused with intention at the altar before it leaves our studio. You’re always welcome to add your own energy, blessing, or prayer ~ it’s a beautiful way to deepen your connection with the work.
How do I choose the right candle or set my intention?
Start with what you want to call in ~ love, protection, clarity, abundance, healing ~ and follow your intuition toward the colors, scents, and stones that resonate. Once chosen, hold your candle, breathe, and speak your intention aloud before lighting.
Do I need a ritual or can I simply light it mindfully?
Either way is perfect. A quiet moment of presence is its own form of ritual. You can keep it simple or weave in music, incense, crystals, or words ~ whatever helps you focus your energy.
Can I burn multiple ritual candles at once?
Yes! Just make sure that their intentions complement one another. Place them safely apart and take a moment to center yourself with each before lighting. For example, Magick pairs beautifully with Pure Intent, since Pure Intent amplifies clarity and communication during spellwork. Wealth & Abundance also harmonizes with Pure Intent, while Healing and Peace make a calming, restorative combination. The key is to keep your focus clear so their energies work in harmony rather than in competition.
What does it mean if the flame pops, smokes, or leaves residue?
Start with the basics first ~ trim the wick, move the candle away from drafts, and make sure it’s on a level surface. If the behavior continues, many practitioners view flame movement as a form of energetic communication. When a candle is used for ritual work or spirit communication, it can sometimes reflect shifts in the energy around you. Keep a journal nearby and note any changes in flame activity, smoke, or wax ~ over time, patterns often reveal their own kind of message.
When will my order ship?
Orders typically ship within 3–7 business days. Because each candle is hand-poured, cured, and packaged with care, processing times may vary during busy seasons or large restocks. You’ll receive tracking information by email once your order has shipped.
Do you offer local pickup or delivery?
Local pickup is available for personal and wholesale orders at our Renton warehouse (801 SW 16th St, Renton, WA 98057). Pickup hours are by appointment only ~ you’ll be able to select Local Pickup at checkout, and we’ll email you to schedule a convenient time for pickup.
At this time, we don’t offer personal delivery, but we do provide delivery options for our retail partners within a limited radius of Renton for a small delivery fee.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship throughout the United States and are exploring international shipping options as we grow. If you’re outside the U.S. and interested in ordering, feel free to reach out ~ we may be able to accommodate special requests on a case-by-case basis.
How will my order be packaged?
Each order is wrapped with care to ensure it arrives safely and beautifully. We use recyclable and reusable materials whenever possible, along with protective packaging to keep fragile candles secure during transit. We’re always looking for ways to improve our sustainability practices while making sure your candles arrive in perfect condition.
What is your return policy?
Because each candle is handcrafted in small batches, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on used, burned, or custom items.

Do you accept returns on used candles?
Because our candles are handmade and burned candles can’t be resold, we’re unable to accept returns once a candle has been lit. If you’re unsatisfied with your order for any reason, reach out ~ we’ll work with you to find a solution.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, and other secure checkout options listed at payment. Your information is encrypted and processed securely ~ we never store payment details.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Digital gift cards are available in multiple denominations and make a beautiful gift. You can purchase them directly through our shop and receive them instantly by email.
How do I apply a discount code or gift card?
Enter your code or gift card number during checkout before completing your payment. Only one discount code can be applied per order, but gift cards may be used alongside promotional offers.
Will I receive order and shipping confirmations?
